Ginko leaves

ginkoI don’t know if I should learn more about photoshop or just start drawing more. Building three dimensional items is more my thing, but I love photography too, its just that the camera nerver takes the picture I see. Im not sure that photoshop would solve the problem, I should probably dedicate myself to getting my jewellery stuff unpacked and start working with that again.

This below is a bit more representative of what I see when I take the picture, than what the camera originally captured. leaves-altered

Västerås

visitng vasteras

Pictures from Västerås town. Click the pictures to see them individually. This will be a picture blog, and I think I might try to tell you a bit about the challenges about a trip like this for a person with Aspergers in another blog, if there is any interest.

Västerås Stadshotell. Exterior.

Lobby.

Domkyrkan, Västerås Cathedral

The botanical gardens.

Things that caught my attention.

From Tollered to Västerås

Car pictures, so it will be blurry and cloudy. dsc03149aBeautiful Sweden but on a bit of a crappy day photography wise. dsc03160a

screen-shot-2016-09-09-at-23-12-42Almost crossing Sweden but without actually seeing any sea. Västerås was a bigger city than I thought.

Two interesting trucks, both concerning questionable treatment of animals, a horse racing sulky plus horses, and a truck full of cows that is probably not alive any more. I mean, I hope they are moved to a lovely new pasture with lots of fresh grass, but I don’t really believe that.

We stopped to eat our packed lunch at this beautiful old convent, Ramundeboda, from around 1400, but this has apparently been a resting spot since the viking age. It was nice to stretch my legs a bit and stroll around the ruins.

driving
Trying to make my self comfortable in our little Toyota Aygo, easier said than done. But I only fell asleep for the last hour and a half or so, and then for an hour at the hotel, and then one more hour before I actually could go outside and have a look at Västerås.

Traveling is extremely tiring for someone with Aspergers. I am so glad we took an extra day to get here so I could get time for the rest I need. The Hotel is beautiful, I’ll take pictures of that and the city tomorrow in daylight.

Traveling

travelingSo we are going on a little travel to attend a friend’s wedding party. And as an Aspie with anxiety issues this is poses a few problems. I am exited and scared at the same time and it’s really hard for me to try to remember everything that has to be done and packed. I am so scared that I am going to forget something that I bring everything instead.

I like hotel’s, and by the looks of it the one we have booked seems really nice. There is a new city we never visited before to experience, but it’s also scary to be away from home, will I be able to find vegan food and also I’m not a fan of parties in general, to many people.

When I am scared I tend to “go into myself” which means that even less things get done/are remembered. That doesn’t exactly help. But I have my wonderful understanding husband who knows how to help me through these things.

I’ll try to blog during the trip, I think it will help me to have something to concentrate on, also I have this killer dress I want to wear!

Apple Times

apple times

With our new (well we have lived here for two years now, but it still feels new) house came two apple trees. I great happiness to me, I planted an apple and a peach tree at our old house, that had quite a barren garden, just a lot of lawn, and the peach really flourished, and the apple was looking good, but to young to give any fruit yet. I hope they still stand where I put them.

dsc03138aI have no idea what kind these are, they are both red, one more than the other, and one ripens a few weeks earlier. They were probably planted about when the house was built, 20 years ago, taken care of by the first owner, and then neglected by the second. We are the third owners. I got a book about pruning and have slowly started to cut them down to a reasonable size and a healthier look, and it is really paying of, more apples every year. 🙂 dsc03130aThe closest tree is slanting away from us in this picture, and I am going to try to “train” a big branch to lean more in this direction. Thats going to be interesting!

There were not that many apples from the slanting tree, but way more than last year, so we are making progress. I can see that it is feeling better, shooting new branches and being leafier than before. The few apples that grew were nice big ones too. I made juice in my old inherited “saftmajasteam juicer. I’ll write about that soon. dsc03143-copySome flowery fragrancy goodness. I love having a garden! Left to right, Swedish to English: Kaprifol = Honeysuckle, Luktärt = Sweat Pea and Ringblomma = Marigold
