I had forgotten I made this little flower… Silver, a stick, pantyhose a balloon and lots and lots of wallpaper glue.
This was a make something fast with found materials workshop, really fun!
This workshop was called “assigned space” and I was experimenting with enclosures that was temporary, so obviously there one second and gone the next.
This was such a cool, experience, they gave us a kilo of silver each, to do with what we wanted as long as we returned the kilo (in any form or shape) or bought it.
I put my sheet through the electrical cutting machine, making lots of 1 mm strips.
I wish I had elaborated on this one, but there were always so little time, new week, new workshop. I should have made it denser with more sticks (they were razor sharp) and, welded them together instead, which I learned how to do, and then with something heavy but big, soft, and rounded, slowly make a bowl shape out of it. Deforming it more and more by dropping the heavy round thing, sandbag maybe, in the middle of it over and over, forming a compact rounded shape for the bowl and a very airy exterior. (I should make a sketch)
